Shape the finance function of a business that’s anything but boring.
This is a job for someone who wants to build something. Someone who gets a thrill from bringing structure to madness. Someone who doesn’t mind counting cash floats one day and talking M&A the next.
Winarch Live has been busy. They’ve acquired Wats On Events (you’ve definitely had a drink at one of their bars). They run markets, concerts, festivals, and brand activations. The growth is real. And fast.
You'll be based in a stunning office in Botany. With free parking. And if you’re a muso, you’ll love the wall art.
The team is young and ambitious. They all love what they do. And while you’ll work closely with the GM and Group Financial Controller, they’re all way too busy to micromanage you. You’ve got free rein.
The problem? They don’t have a dedicated finance lead for this part of the business. That’s where you come in.
What you’ll be doing
Owning the finance function and sharpening it as the business scales.
Partnering with event managers to help them make sense of the numbers (and maybe even care about them).
Handling month-end, forecasts, reporting and supplier wrangling.
Supporting acquisitions and helping integrate new businesses.
Sitting on the leadership team and being the finance brain behind the bar ops, markets and events.
Occasionally travelling to Newcastle max twice per month.
You’ll suit this role if:
You’re CA/CPA qualified or you’re ambitious to get there in the future.
You’ve got 5+ years in finance and can handle yourself in a fast-moving environment.
You’ve worked in events, hospo, or something equally high-paced.
You’re system savvy (and don’t mind getting your hands dirty to make them better).
You’re switched-on, practical, and know how to deal with people who don’t speak finance.
You’re curious and quick to learn – like a sponge with ambition. You soak up knowledge and turn it into career growth.
And no need to fret if you don’t have experience with M&A yet. There are plenty of opportunities to learn and develop with this company.
You could stay where you are. Or you could do something way more interesting.
This is your chance to get in early and grow with a business that’s scaling fast.
