This isn’t bookkeeping in the corner. It’s the heartbeat of the business.
This is the glue role. The person who keeps the invoices moving, the pay going through, and the kitchen from hunting you down because a supplier hasn’t been paid. You’ll be the one people come to with questions, problems, and the odd payroll drama.
It’s admin, finance and HR all rolled into one. You’ll be across accounts payable and receivable in MYOB, payroll and HR in Employment Hero, and end-of-month reporting that makes sense to the directors. Think of it as the person who knows where everything is and makes sure it happens when it should.
The hours are good. School hours, Monday to Friday, with the chance to grow into a full-time role in the next 6–12 months as the business gets busier. For now, you’ll be here five days a week, 4–5 hours a day, with a pro rata salary.
We’re not going to dress this up. Hospitality moves quickly. Sales teams are sending out contracts, coordinators are raising invoices, the kitchen is dropping off last-minute receipts, and payroll needs approving. You’ll need to be calm under pressure, quick to solve problems, and not easily flustered.
What you’ll need:
MYOB experience. That’s non-negotiable.
Experience in end to end bookkeeping.
A personality that’s approachable, steady, and easy to work with.
This is a family-run hospitality events business, built from the ground up. No corporate nonsense. Just passionate people who care about food, service and creating events that people remember. The culture here is family first, with Christmas and Easter off to spend time with yours.
If you’re local, good with numbers, and want a role that can grow with you, this is a good one.
