Managing production schedules, labour and workflow
Driving quality control across all stages of production
Ensuring work meets engineering drawings, specifications and customer requirements
Overseeing inspections, identifying defects and reducing rework
Investigating recurring quality issues and implementing improvements
Working closely with the Workshop Supervisor to lead and develop the team
Monitoring productivity, safety, costs and project delivery
Keeping plant and equipment maintained and production moving
What you'll bring
Experience leading a manufacturing, fabrication, heavy engineering or similar workshop
A strong background in quality control and quality assurance
Experience managing production schedules, labour and resources
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Strong leadership skills and a practical, hands-on approach
A solid understanding of WHS, productivity and workshop operations
A Boilermaker trade qualification is preferred, although other relevant engineering trades will be considered
If you're a hands on leader who takes pride in quality workmanship, knows how to run an efficient workshop and isn't afraid to tackle problems head on, this could be your next move.
