So, you’ve got a couple of years of experience under your belt in Structural Engineering.
You know your way around structural calcs, maybe a few NCC and AS/NZS clauses too.
But you’re itching for more than just connection details, mark-ups and bridges.
You want to build things. Exciting things. Different things.
This role sits inside a growing modular construction company doing exciting engineering with container-based builds, rooftop bars, portable offices, site fit-outs, even pop-up cafés.
Everything is designed, engineered, and delivered in-house. It’s practical, it moves fast, and nothing sits in a pipeline for years waiting to get approved.
You’ll sit alongside the design, production, and project teams. You’ll support with structural design, code compliance, QA checks, and certification. You’ll liaise with drafters and get direct exposure to NCC and AS/NZS standards.
You’ll be in a team that values ideas over egos. If you’ve got something to contribute, you’ll be listened to. If you don’t know something, someone will show you. There’s a casual office vibe, but the work gets taken seriously.
You’ll suit this role if:
– You’ve got at least 2 years of experience in structural engineering – You’re curious, resourceful, and a fast learner – You’re comfortable asking questions and not afraid to speak up – You’re happy jumping between design chats, certification docs, and production briefings – You have structural design experience, highly regarded
Bonus points if you’ve done drafting, fit-outs, fabrication, or welding, but it’s not a dealbreaker.
Modulate Group is scaling. They’re aiming to quadruple their unit output. That means growth. Which means opportunity.
This is your foot in the door if you’re a Junior Engineer who wants real responsibility.
