Looking for a civil design role where you’ll actually have room to grow?
Not sit buried in repetitive drafting work.
Not be boxed into one tiny part of the project lifecycle.
And definitely not feel like you’re just another number in a giant consultancy.
This is an opportunity to join J. Wyndham Prince, a highly respected civil engineering consultancy where subdivision work is the bread and butter, but the project exposure goes far beyond that.
You’ll be working across land development, stormwater and infrastructure projects, contributing to road upgrades, TfNSW-related works, and large-scale developments shaping communities across Greater Sydney.
You’ll join a close-knit, collaborative team that genuinely enjoys working together. A business where people ask questions, help each other out, and actually communicate.
No egos. No sink-or-swim mentality.
Just good people delivering quality work.
Based out of their Penrith office, you’ll have easy access to parking, public transport, cafés and everything else you need close by.
Big enough to deliver landmark projects.
Small enough for your contribution to matter.
About the gig
This is a hands-on Civil Designer / Design Engineer role with a strong focus on subdivisions and land development.
You’ll work alongside experienced engineers and designers delivering practical, buildable outcomes across civil infrastructure and urban development projects.
From road design and stormwater layouts through to grading, drainage and supporting infrastructure design, you’ll get exposure across a broad mix of projects and responsibilities.
The team currently uses BricsCAD, though experience with other 3D civil design software like 12d or Civil 3D will also be highly regarded.
This isn’t a role where you’ll immediately be expected to mentor juniors or manage staff.
Instead, you’ll be supported by strong senior people while continuing to grow your own technical capability and project exposure.
That said, there’s genuine long-term opportunity here for someone who wants to step into leadership down the track. What you’ll bring
You’ve likely got around 4 or 5 years of experience in civil design or design engineering within land development or infrastructure environments.
Subdivision experience is the big one.
Beyond that, exposure to stormwater, roads or broader infrastructure projects will put you in a strong position.
You might come from a consultancy background and already understand how to collaborate across engineers, designers, councils, contractors and project stakeholders.
Technically, you’re comfortable working within civil design software and understand how projects move from concept through to delivery.
But equally important is your attitude.
You’re accountable.
You communicate well.
You ask questions when you don’t know something.
You take direction onboard and genuinely want to improve.
You’re someone the team can rely on.
Your new organisation
J.Wyndham Prince has built a strong reputation across Greater Sydney for delivering high-quality civil engineering solutions across land development and infrastructure projects.
With expertise spanning subdivisions, stormwater management, infrastructure and urban development, they continue to deliver practical, technically strong outcomes for both private and government clients.
What sets them apart is the environment they’ve built internally.
The team is collaborative, approachable and growth-focused. People are trusted, supported and given genuine opportunity to develop their careers while contributing to meaningful projects shaping local communities.
