Based out of Penrith CBD, a brand-new office, all the facilities you could dream of. Ample parking, public transport facilities, cafes and shopping centres. You’re spoilt for choice.

About the role

As the Construction Superintendent, you’ll act as the bridge between clients and contractors. Providing high-level technical expertise and knowledge on construction works contracts.

Alongside this is the contracts administration and quality assurance across projects. You’re an independent point of contact and assessor of Works Under Contract (WUC), between the principal and contractor.

The Construction Superintendent will be the client’s representative onsite, ensuring work is completed to design, quality and time expectations under AS4000 and AS2124 contracts. Expect plenty of variety across public and private sector developments and the chance to bring ideas, leadership and drive to the table.

You can expect to be administering construction works and monitoring all project milestones, liaising with contractors, clients and consultants and ensuring compliance with WHS, environmental and quality standards are being met consistently.

The preparation and maintenance of project documentation and reports is critical, alongside your ability in supporting junior engineers and collaborating with senior leaders.

About you

Enthusiasm and willingness to learn. It’s that simple. Analytical, logical and methodical in your work. You take pride in what you do. You’ll be at the forefront, playing a crucial role in providing technical expertise.

Inquisitive? Curious about certain processes and have ideas? It’s all welcome. Your juniors are looking up to you, you’re a mentor and role model to them.

You’re insightful. An innovative engineer. Loves finding solutions to problems.

You’ll hold a considerable ability in the superintendency of civil infrastructure works under contract between the principal and contractor. You get the construction techniques and processes too. The likes associated with road, bulk earthworks intersection, pipe and trunk drainage and all other civil infrastructure works.

Your strong suits also lie in your accurate and robust Estimates of Quantity and Costs for projects. It’s crucial here. You’ll have a solid understanding on how the civil infrastructure design, integrates with utility servicing requirements and responses to environmental constraints.

Aside all of this, it’s essential that you hold a Civil Engineering Degree or suitable Diploma Level qualification, with a minimum of 4 years professional experience in civil infrastructure, particularly land subdivisions. A Drivers Licence and White Card is also essential.
