Your new role
You will be tasked with investigating, assessing, diagnosing, resolving road and traffic-related matters, to achieve the safe and efficient movement of people and goods on roadways for the Central Coast community. You will develop reports, plans and studies to address traffic, transport, parking and road safety issues whilst providing specialist advice and recommendations.
Reporting into the Team Leader of Traffic, you will work closely with and be well supported by other members of the Traffic team. Working closely with your local community, the safety of yourself and the community will always be at the forefront when performing your day to day duties.
Working a 9 day fortnight, in a 35 hour per week role, you will be afforded the flexibility to work in a hybrid environment where you would typically work 2 days from home and 3 days in the office.
About you
You are a technically minded problem solver who holds tertiary qualifications in civil or traffic engineering. You ideally have experience in a similar role, but if not, that's okay too.
Desirably, you hold vocational qualifications in project management and hold relevant road and traffic-related qualifications and accreditations. But again, this is a nice to have for this role, so if you don't hold these, we would love to still hear from you.
The Council
Central Coast Council is one of Australia's largest Regional Councils with over 1900 employees, situated within one of the fastest-growing regions in NSW. With plenty of room to grow your career, they offer a flexible and supportive work environment.
