Have you been chomping at the bit to find a role where you get to get your hands dirty working with cutting-edge technology?
Not only that, you want to build strong, deep relationships with a handful of key customers - rather than work across so you many you can't keep track of them. You know that everyone's better off if you only need to be across a few customer environments rather than many.
They're complex environments, sure - but they're no larger than you've dealt with before. And you have the backing of a global support team.
Better yet - your new company is a global leader in its class with over 27,000 employees across 50 countries. So wherever you want your career to go, they can help get you there.
Your Challenge
You'll be supporting your new company's locally developed, cutting-edge safety technology which has applications in the mining industry, among others. You'll develop deep, long-term relationships with 3 or 4 of your new company's key clients - this includes both new and existing customers of their class-leading Collision Awareness System (CAS).
You'll support new customers all the way from advising them of any upgrades they need before implementation starts, throughout the implementation, to training users. Once they're onboarded, you'll be providing BAU support and assisting with performance optimisation and continuous improvement.
Most of the time you won't need to be in the office and only on rare occasions will you need to go onsite, so you'll get very familiar with the remote support tools provided. You'll be working in a global team of 9, which includes the field technicians who carry out the hands-on work with the machinery.
The Right Person
You have skills in supporting custom applications and a background working with development teams. This could be in testing, support or really anything related with software - but you know how to work with a dev team. Outside of this, you have experience with SQL Server and Linux.
You're comfortable working from home most of the time and with experience in providing remote support, you're comfortable communicating over the phone alongside the occasional face to face meeting. You also understand the importance of providing customers with a great customer support experience.
Your New Employer
Your new employer builds world-leading collision awareness systems, with applications in the mining, locomotive, freight, transit and digital electronics sectors. They're part of a large global company, with over 27,000 employers across 50 countries and a history stretching back to 1869. They're continuing to expand, too - with multiple recent billion dollar acquisitions. Even though they were acquired 10 years ago, they've maintained the feeling of a smaller business and you'll be working with a team and at a location that invented the technology you support.
They pride themselves on being an equitable, diverse and inclusive employer and have a number of employee forums to enable this. They've won a number of awards in corporate equality, business innovation and compliance over the last 2 years.
