You'll be working on a bunch of new tech that you haven't worked with before. But you're used to picking up new things quickly and with the support of the team around you, you'll thrive in picking up their suite of cutting-edge tech.
Locally, you'll be working with a team of 5 based in Newcastle, but connected to a much larger, national, Network Operations Centre.
You'll take ownership of providing first-class, level 2 support for their customers. You'll answer calls and tickets and do initial investigations into customer faults. Some of the time you'll also be onsite doing basic equipment installations as well as providing maintenance in their local datacentre.
The Right Person
You've had at least three years of experience working at either a telco or an MSP and have a solid understanding of the principles of networking. You've had experience supporting managed firewalls alongside a broad range of other networking equipment.
You've worked with Cisco and Juniper hardware before and have certifications in either of these technologies.
You get a buzz out of working with customers and through this you've developed strong customer service skills and are comfortable communicating with them over the phone and face-to-face.
